Welcome

Hello, and welcome.  Johnson FishSci is a small consulting firm that specializes in applying sonar methods to fisheries research with a mission of dedicated client support based on high integrity and sound science.

We have 25 years of experience addressing fisheries management issues related to fish passage and behavior, fish abundance and distribution, stock assessment, habitat use, and Clean Water Act 316(b) compliance studies.  Our services include application of and training with imaging sonar systems (DIDSON and ARIS) and split-beam hydroacoustics, development of study designs, evaluation of behavioral technologies for fish guidance and protection, and estimation of salmonid escapement.  We have a long history of collaborative partnerships with leading experts across a diverse array of disciplines.  These relationships have resulted in establishing strong and highly skilled teams capable of finding solutions to complex fisheries issues.
